LUCKY
On December 21, 2006 an orange and white cat was brought to us, found in a wood pile, and starving. This adult cat weighed 4.4 pounds when she arrived. After one month at LRHS she has blossomed into a healthy, beautiful, playful cat with an incredible personality. LUCKY, as we call her, has a very special place in our hearts and we feel she deserves a very special home. She has taken up residence in the peace and quiet of our vet tech office and we would like her to go to a similar home: somewhere that she is free to watch the outside from the inside (hint, hint: this cat must be indoor only). That, and eating, and sleeping in her special bed. Lucky is spayed, current on all vaccinations, and born in approximately 1999.

BONBON is a beautiful smoked dilute calico; that means her undercoat is white and the visible hairs are very dark (so she looks smokey). She does not necessarily want to socialize with other cats, though she tolerates them at a distance. However, she absolutely loves people. Because she can be a little frisky when you stop petting her, a house with no small children would be the best for BonBon. She was born early in 2006 and is spayed. BonBon

CAESAR was brought to LRHS by a neighbor because his owners moved and left him in the house. He is shy but very friendly. So far, his favorite activity has been burrowing in the blankets — we imagine he will keep your feet warm at night! Very laid back, a home with older children would be ideal, but we're sure he will adapt to any situation. Caesar was born in 2005 and is neutered. Caesar

PATCHES is a pretty female tortishell "softie-kins" (cat-talk for a little shy but very lovey — a technical term!). She would really like to be in a quiet house with a feline friend. This young lady is still needs to be spayed. Approximate DOB: 2004.

GARFIELD came to LRHS because his owner had a stroke. Affectionate but a little bit shy, he would be a perfect companion to a laid-back family. A senior-citizen cat, he was born in 1996 and is neutered.

Willow

WILLOW and SCARLET came to LRHS with their mother and seven brothers and sisters. As the last two of the group, we would love to see them go home together. These girls are a little bit shy at first but let their personalities shine when they are comfortable in their environment. Though they do not necessarily want to be held, they do love to sit on laps and play with toys. Both Willow and Scarlet were born in September of 2006 and still need to be spayed. Scarlet

Fieldy FIELDY is a neutered, black and white male with lots of love to give and likewise would just love to have your arms wrapped around him. He does prefer to be the only male around. Approximate DOB: 2004.

Freeman FREEMAN came to LRHS because his previous owner was elderly and no longer able to care for him. As such, a home with no children would be the best for him. A little bit shy at first, he opens up quickly and enjoys sitting in your lap. Freeman is neutered and was born on August 1, 2002.

TC

TC is a polydactyl black and white tuxedo cat. "Polydactyl" basically means he has lots of toes! Very friendly and affectionate he can't get enough people-attention. As he is also outgoing, he does not mind other cats -- but some cats mind him. This is something that will diminish as he and his new house-mates acclimate. TC was born in approximately 2005 and is neutered.

Clyde CLYDE is timid, but outgoing when he is comfortable. He loves to be held but does not have much interest in toys. A household without lots of rambunctious children would be best for him. Clyde came to LRHS with Bink (see above). He is neutered and, like Bink, estimated DOB is the fall of 2005.

Itty ITTY is a very small, young tortoiseshell with minimal socialization. She is going to make a perfect barn cat. Itty was born in approximately May of 2006 and has been spayed.

Anka

ANKA came to us because her previous owner was moving. She certainly loves to visit and roll over to have her belly rubbed, but she does not like to be held so a house with older children would be ideal. Anka was born in 2000 and is spayed. Anka

WENDY, a calico, is a serious head-bumper. She does not mind being held for short periods of time, but she prefers not be held for the most part. Born in 2005, Wendy is around two years old and still needs to be spayed.

BOO BOO KITTY is addicted to those windows! She loves to sit and watch the cars, birds, people, and whatever else is going by. This philosophy applies to her interactions too: if it moves, catch it ... she loves to play with all sorts of toys. It took her a little time to adjust when she first got here, but she was always lovely with people. She doesn't mind other cats too much, but would probably enjoy being the queen of the house. Boo-Boo is spayed. Approximate DOB: 2005. BooBooKitty

GOBLIN
was born in 2005 and has already had a litter of kittens! A small cat, she falls down and purrs when you just look at her. She would love to roll around, right into your living room.

BUD, being such a well-tempered kitty wearing such a handsome white coat, is a true gentleman. Because he is hard of hearing (not completely deaf, but mostly) a house with rambunctious children would not bother him a bit — especially because he loves to play, be held, and socialize. Bud came to us as a stray and we estimate that he was born in 2005. He is neutered.

BROOKE is a calico with the classic calico personality. She does not necessarily want to be held, but she does not mind being petted. Also, she can be very vocal in her opinions. Brooke was born in approximately 2005.
